Senate approves ASSET

This morning, the Senate officially approved SB 12-015, sending Senator Johnston’s ASSET Bill to the House.
The bill, which would create “standard-rate tuition” that could be offered by state colleges and universities to Colorado’s undocumented high school graduates, was approved 20-14 on third and final reading.
Every Colorado college and university has endorsed the bill, which would give those institutions the option of offering the the reduced tuition at a cost slightly higher than the rate offered to in-state students.
