In the Legislature
Senator Johnston is working on the following bill during the 2016 Legislative Session:
SB 16-075: Concerning Collection of a DNA Sample from Offenders Convicted of Misdemeanors Against Vulnerable Persons
This session, I’m introducing a bill to expand our DNA collection data bank to include perpetrators of misdemeanors such as child abuse, spousal abuse and solicitation of prostitution, with a goal of reducing the incidents of sexual assaults by repeat offenders.
